“Since We First Met”

This is a radio play that was written, recorded, and edited in twenty-four hours for Felicia Dominguez’s “Project Panic.” The premise of this event was a “24-hour Radio Play Festival… intended to be a way to create theatre during these PANdemIC times, as traditional methods of creating are on hold.” I was assigned to a group with a writer, director, composer, and three actors, and the following day we presented our finalized piece.

You’ll notice that only one of our actors had access to a high-quality microphone, but I think this adds to the point of the festival: to rapidly create content over the internet. To make the story convincing nonetheless, I worked furiously to create a compelling and rich sonic world, adding plenty of sounds effects and my own drones to the mix to liven it up.

Special thanks to Tracy Hoida (writer), Izadorius (director), Julie Locker (performer), Matthew Rangel (performer), Johanna Jackson-Whitman (performer), Stephen Indrisano (composer), Felicia Dominguez (producer), and Tiffany Lutz (project coordinator).
